NQT 2023 | Help & Support | Permanent Roles | Mock Interviews | Career Consultation

Are you coming to the end of your second placement? Have you thought about what is waiting for you after university? Are you worried about securing a job in September?

Hays work with over 80% of the Primary Schools across Lancashire, and they will be eagerly looking for NQT's to start both as soon as possible for paid experience after university, up until the summer term, and for permanent roles in September. Hays will help you with this. We offer continuous support on your journey from university through to school, including, mock interviews, career consultations, paid experience and CV sending for permanent roles.

Now would be the perfect time to get yourself booked in and utilise myself for career advise and support as we progress along 2023.

At Hays we pride ourselves on our excellent ability to place our candidates. Currently 90% of those with NQT/ECT status who sign up with us are found fixed term placements with six months; before which they are provided with supply work until a permanent position becomes available.

Your new role
As an ECT/NQT you will have the opportunity to work with a number of Primary schools across various locations. The jobs we offer will require you to have previous relevant experience and you may be expected to follow lesson plans and deliver. We can offer you day to day positions and short-term contracts as well as long term positions which can last more than a term and could lead to permanent employment. Upon permanent appointment you will have great support through your school's CPD and be given a reduced timetable to help manage your workload. This will place you in an excellent position to continue to develop as a teacher.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You must be willing to go through our standard vetting checks as well as an enhanced DBS.
  • Have recent experience and be able to provide references. (These can be your placement schools).
  • Have taught within schools within the last 5 years.
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status or be a Newly Qualified Teacher or Early Career Teacher.
  • Be an inspirational and dedicated professional.
  • Have your own unique teaching style.

What you'll get in return
You will receive excellent highly competitive rates of pay and the chance to work in an outstanding high performing school. You will receive 100% support from a expert and dedicated consultant throughout your appointment. You will also receive access to our free 'refer a friend' scheme, where you will receive £250 of vouchers.
