Your new role
I am looking for a highly experienced Freelance Site Manager to join our team in overseeing the construction of new build housing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient completion of the project to the highest possible standard, while also ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
Oversee and manage all aspects of the site, including quality control, health and safety, site operations, and logistics. Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard. Coordinate the work of the site team, ensuring that all trades and sub-contractors are working in accordance with the construction schedule. Manage the site budget and ensure that costs are kept within agreed limits. Monitor progress against the project plan and identify and resolve any issues that may arise. Ensure that all necessary documentation, including risk assessments and method statements, is in place and up to date. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practice. Ensure that the site is maintained in a safe, clean and tidy condition at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering new build housing projects. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Good IT skills, including experience with project management software. Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in construction management or a related field, or a trade apprenticeship.
