Your new company

A central London borough is working with Hays Construction & Property to find 3 excellent Planning Officers with recent experience in Local Authority or a similar setting. This Borough is currently undergoing large renewal projects, set to bring in high levels of investment to the local area.

Your new role

To investigate, consider and report on the full range of applications, development proposals and enforcement matters under the Planning Acts within a designated area of the Borough. To prepare appeal statements for the Council and to answer enquiries from applicants and their agents in relation to planning matters advising other departments as required.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential:

• A degree in town planning or equivalent
• Licentiate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (or equivalent)
• Evidence of relevant continuous professional development

Desirable:

• Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (or equivalent) or eligibility for chartered membership and evidence of relevant continuous professional development
