Quantity Surveyor - Ipswich - Permanent

An established civil engineering and groundworks company operating across East Anglia with an established client base, who pride themselves on delivering a high quality service from the initial tender stage right through to the completions and adoption stages with over 25 years experience in the industry.


Your new role
Depending on experience - Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will support with variations, manage projects from the start, preparing estimates and costs of the work. You will be involved in tendering and procurement, payment of sub contractors, variation orders and settlement of final accounts.

• Responsible for subcontractor payments
• Variation orders and day works and settlement of final accounts
• Undertake monthly cost reports and estimate future likely cost expenditure
• Attend pre start, specification and any other relevant concept meeting as required

What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking for candidates with a degree in quantity surveying or a minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar role. You will have knowledge and understanding of residential projects, processes and materials. You will have excellent communications, strong report writing skills and strong numerical and data analysis skills. Our client is looking for a team player and someone with a passion to progress within the business.
