They are looking for a CAD Technician to join their team.

Your new role

• Topographical Surveys
• As built Surveys
• Drainage Surveys
• Dealing with house builder's drawings and preparing CSV and CAD Files

What you'll need to succeed

• The ability to create and process high-quality accurate detailed technical drawings for site setting out and make modifications to existing drawings
• The ability to interpret drawings and liaise with architects, engineers and colleagues to understand design requirements and provide technical advice
• Experience of working with a variety of CAD software programmes
• The ability to transfer, display and manipulate your work using Microsoft Office and other programmes
• Planning and managing your own time and the team diary to ensure all sites needs can be met efficiently
• Work without direct day to day supervision and make technical and supervisory decisions for projects assigned within specified limits of authority
• Liaise with all outside parties in advance of the works to ensure no delays once on site
• Problem solving, creativity and innovation skills in order to come up with solutions to design problems where required
• Proficient IT skills working within both Microsoft, CAD and surveying software platforms
• Excellent numeracy with the ability to make mathematical calculations and to understand and interpret data
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate at all levels and relationship building to work with clients and other engineers
• Excellent organisation, administrative and time management skills to complete work to project deadlines
• The ability to work as part of a team as you'll be liaising with colleagues
• You must live within 15 miles of Derby and currently reside in the UK
• You must hold a full clean valid UK driving licence

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of managing a team diary and scheduling jobs
• Knowledge of topographical surveying and site engineering in various sectors of the construction industry to enable you to conduct site visits and surveys when required
• Experience with Leica total Station and GPS smart rovers
• The ability to provide training and support to less senior team members
• Professional Construction, Engineering or Survey qualification
• N4ce surveying package software knowledge
