Your new company
I'm currently working with a well established facilities / construction management firm based in Corby, Leicestershire. Established in the mid 90's for general maintenance but has since seen substantial growth and development over the last 20 years. The firm predominantly works with social housing authorities and local councils building affordable homes. The company is divided into 7 sections with some of the main divisions being private clients, Gas service, and principle contracting. Over the past few years the company has seen in excess of 100% growth almost doubling in revenue growth since COVID 19. Based in the heart of the midlands, they have projects on both regional and national scale.

Your new role
As an Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting to the Financial manager aswell as the commercial manager, and work alongside the commercial team to ensure all steps are followed correctly from procurement of sites to final accounts including:

• Preparing tender enquiry packs, analysing/comparing tenders against build costs, assembling health and safety, method statements and risk assessment policies for new contractors.
• Compiling draft subcontract orders, drafting extras sheet for the Commercial Manager.
• Analysing and issuing charges and payments, reviewing invoices and applications, keeping payment sheets up to date.
• Assisting the commercial manager with cost value reconciliations and associated duties.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction
• Proven experience as a QS / Cost Consultant, preferably from within a residential. However, candidates from a main contractor background will be considered.
• Experience in providing pre and post contract cost management services on a range of construction projects.
• Proficient in administering JCT building contracts, including monthly valuations
• Sound knowledge of the construction process from inception to completion
• Ideally have experience of undertaking project fund monitoring services

• High levels of professionalism, self-drive and commercial acumen
