Planned Works Surveyor - Southwest

Opportunity for two Surveyors with experience in delivery of planned or cyclical works in a housing

You will join a regional provider of affordable housing with offices located across the southwest and south coast. Your new company employ over 1500 staff, and manage over 32,000 homes taking a lead on the management, maintenance and continuous improvement of assets worth over £2billion.

Your new role
As a Planned Works Surveyor / Investment Surveyor, you will lead on the delivery of a diverse range of programmes of maintenance works. Your role will include the development of specifications for works, before engaging with approved contractors and managing works on site, ensuring that works are carried out to the required quality, to specification and within budget. You will work from home in your role, however will also visit site to check on works, meeting with tenants and contractors.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will ideally have worked within a housing maintenance setting previously working as a Maintenance Surveyor, Technical Surveyor or Project Manager. You will have experience in the creation of specifications for works, as well as being able to demonstrate robust contractor and project management skills.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial contract position with duration up to 6 months initially. This is a long-term role and our client would be interested in speaking to candidates who would be interested in potentially progressing into a permanent role - this permanent position is likely to pay a salary of between £37,000 - £40,000.
