Your new role

Specific Duties
* Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
* Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take in to account all relevant hazards
* Implement procedures for site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
* Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
* Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy
* Lead and deliver any training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
* Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements
* Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics
* Keep up to date with legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all H&S legislation and any developments that effect the construction industry
* Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins as appropriate
* Help to ensure all equipment is installed and used correctly and safely
* Help to manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances
* Prepare and submit annual applications for Safe Contractor and CHAS registrations

What you'll need to succeed

Practical experience of site operations, Qualified to IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent and good communication skills, both written and oral
