Job Details

Your new company
This client is a well established Housing Association based in West Kent. They manage over 8000 homes across the Kent and South East region and build around 300 new homes a year.

The Housing Association has stock only within Kent, mainly in the Mid and West Kent areas, so travel will not see the surveyor travelling across multiple counties. They have a great property team, where all staff have excellent tenures, which is testament to how serious they take employee engagement, development, and satisfaction.

Your new role

  • You'll be a key member of the asset team, ensuring homes are compliant with all aspects of the decent home's standard and fire safety.
  • You will carry out technical surveys of our homes and report on components condition; health and safety including HHSRS, and energy efficiency data used to generate EPC's.
  • You'll play a key role in protecting the associations interests by ensuring any issues identified in the homes are reported and progressed through to completion, and that any poor condition components are identified and added to the planned maintenance programme.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have

  • HNC in Building or equivalent
  • Experience of property inspection, maintenance contracting, and front line working with contractors
  • Excellent knowledge of construction / surveying is essential, with a sound knowledge of the domestic energy data collection and HHSRS.
  • Able to prepare detailed work specifications which conform to current standards and legislative requirements.
  • Able to deliver a surveying role in both Planned and Reactive work scenarios/disciplines.
  • Experience in undertaking formal fire risk assessments on domestic dwellings.
  • Full Valid UK Driver's License.

What you'll get in return
This role is paying a salary of up to £38,745 per annum + benefits including discounted medical treatments, generous leave, including paid time off to volunteer and an annual grant to support your wellbeing.
