Hays are delighted to be working exclusively in partnership with Savills rural business to recruit Building Surveyor into their Telford office join the growing Architecture and Building Surveying services team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary, Architecture & Building Surveying Team, servicing both retained and consultancy clients, largely from within the rural business, working with and supported by other professional disciplines within the offices.

Your new role
As the new Building Surveyor, you will be joining the Savills Telford office and working across rural, residential and commercial sectors, , carrying out a variety of works from pre-acquisition surveys and defect diagnosis to conservation and project management. Examples of this fantastic work can be provided upon request.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as the new Building Surveyor will be to service existing business and increasing business from new work streams, whilst working on interesting rural and historic properties.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will ideally be a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent), or working towards chartership. You will have a proven experience in of project management, design and contract administration, building regulations, CDM, building surveys, party wall and dilapidations. You'll be an excellent relationship builder, a self-starter who relishes challenges and strives for the best and a strong team player. You will be able to either demonstrate relevant experience within the rural sector or a keen interest & affinity with developing this as the next stage of your career.

You will receive a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum plus a competitive discretionary bonus, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays and public holidays and an additional benefits package which includes money saving offers to pension plans and tailored career development.
