M & E Maintenance Technician

Your new company

A university based in Cambridge that is extremely committed to becoming an employer of choice and ambitious plans for development in the future. The site is a large spread out site with multiple different facilities all in one place. There are a variety of different buildings of different ages and sizes on site.

Your new role

Your new role will be to inspect, fault find, test, install, modify and repair all electrical and mechanical equipment in a safe efficient way with minimum supervision. You will be in charge of your own schedule, ensuring that all PPMs for the operational assets are completed including carrying out the gas safe testing alongside the working on and testing of the air con refrigeration plant. You will also be required to be the first point of call to react to any emergencies providing the reactive maintenance.


What you'll need to succeed

In order to be a successful applicant it is essential that you hold a valid Gas Safe Certificate as well as holding your F-Gas qualification. You will also need to have a formal qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Whilst having a proven track record of working in a similar position previously.
