Hays is currently working with a multi award-winning, well-established consultancy with over 75 years of experience. They are based in a new vibrant and modern office easily accessible in the centre of Cambridge. This client has had incredible success over the last decade, and this is a fantastic opportunity to join them during an exciting period of growth. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team to work alongside the senior electrical design engineer and with a Cad technician.


Your new role

As a Senior Mechanical design engineer, you will be exposed to many sectors where you will be playing a very important role to help create and expand the Cambridge Building Services Engineering team with new and existing opportunities. You will need to be engaged with the design team, supporting the delivery of the projects, the engineering choices and direction to optimise benefits and value for money to the client and end users. You will need to oversee and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures.


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, having a degree in Building Services or higher education qualification, experience in the industry running projects from conception, knowledge in design industry will be playing a good part for success. You will need to have a high level of technical skill, proficiency in Microsoft office and social skills where you can build easily relationships with your colleagues and be work collaborative to help in achieving the better outcomes.
