Exciting Design Manager Role at Established Company in Norfolk

They provide their clients with engineering and construction solutions that are intelligent and of the highest calibre. The group has eight primary areas of expertise: commercial, living spaces, public sector, roads and bridges, water, renewables, marine, and horizon. This year, they are operating on more than 45 locations in the UK and Ireland, with contracts valued between £5 million and £300 million.
Your new role
Your new role as a design manager will be a balance between being client facing and keeping up to date with future projects along side meeting and supporting your team in their work. In order to smoothly connect the design and construction processes, you will need to oversee the design development from pre-contract / contract award to compilation of As Built information for the design team. It will entail giving designers precise instructions regarding information delivery deadlines, keeping track of developments, and actively managing to make sure designs are coordinated and authorised in advance of the building schedule.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed as a senior structural engineer in this company you will need to have BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering Degree from an ICE approved institution and experience in design management for civils projects. You will require a flexible attitude to work, the capacity to collaborate with others, as well as strong presenting, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities. The role will require good analytical and critical thinking skills.
