London Metropolitan University is seeking to the post of Head of Projects Delivery to play a key role in the delivery of its new Estates Strategy.

We launched our new Estates Strategy in 2022, which sees the University committing to bold and large-scale investments of £180 million over the next decade, in order to develop our buildings, physical and digital infrastructure.

The Head of Projects Delivery will lead projects teams to deliver the capital programme, ranging from minor works projects to major capital developments across a diverse estate portfolio including academic and research facilities, public realm, social and hospitality space and commercial space. Whilst taking responsibility for the delivery of the capital programme, the postholder will also deputise for the Associate Director of Estates (Development) – taking a leadership role across the wider team remit for strategic property management and space planning and management.

The successful candidate will possess relevant experience in a programme management role with responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of complex refurbishment projects within live, operational environments. You will have strong commercial management skills, with a proven track record of implementing processes and structures in to enable the effective delivery and governance of capital programmes. We are seeking an individual with a highly motivated and proactive disposition and the interpersonal and communication skills to operate successfully with a diverse range of stakeholder groups, whilst leading, motivating and developing a team.
