Health & Safety Advisor - Permanent - Up to 40k - Consultancy

I am currently working with a well established, key client who offers a range of consultancy services to clients across the UK, including Health & Safety, CDM Safety, Training and Project Management. Their portfolio of clients and range of experience includes FMCG, Manufacturing and Engineering. Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join the team.

The main purpose of your role is support, advise and oversee health and safety requirements for a range of different clients across the Northwest, and the UK. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Advise on a range of specialist areas including fire regulations, CDM2015, noise, safeguarding machinery etc
  • Design and deliver bespoke health and safety advice
  • Conduct health and safety systems audits and advise on recommended actions for compliance
  • Issue permits to work and manage all aspects of health and safety on project sites
  • Undertake and continually review risk assessments
  • Carry out site audits
  • Assist with documentation required when the company acts in the role of PC or PD
  • Undertake machine compliance processes and safety audits
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all project stakeholders
  • Produce management reports on a regular basis
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of HSE legislation at all times

To be considered for this role you must have NEBOSH as a minimum. This role also requires UK travel, the frequency and duration will vary depending on projects with a large portion of work in the Northwest, however, you must be flexible and willing to travel when required. You will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable managing CDM projects, machine compliance and machine safety audits. Exposure to FMCG highly desirable.

This is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance and the ability to earn overtime. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, upskilling yourself and will benefit from having exposure to a range of different environments.
