Building Surveyor - Housing - £38800 inc car allowance, 32 days holiday plus bank holidays and good pension

Your new role

As a Surveyor in the team you will provide building surveying services to ensure the improvements and planned maintenance programmes and adaption of its housing stock are carried out. You will be assisting the Planned Works Manager to successfully deliver planned, capital and cyclical works. You will undertake feasibility surveys and condition studies and manage contracts and project works on site.

What you'll need to succeed

You will to be a conscientious and empathetic approach, remembering end users and tenants' safety and wellbeing is the priority. You will be community focused and people-centric reacting to customers needs. You will need to be confident instructing external consultants and sub-contractors and overseeing works on site. You will have proactive and be able to look at real life situations, analyse the cause, the problem and suggest solutions. You will have experience conducting surveys in occupied properties in Social Housing and managing multiple planned works programmes. You will have experience in the Construction industry, experience with social landlords and at least a HNC/HND in Building Construction or relevant subject.
