Estates Manager | Cambridgeshire | Client Side | Strategic development sites

Hays are pleased to be working with one of the leading Master Developers in the UK to recruit an Estates Manager into their growing team. Our client has over an incredible track record developing and delivering large-scale mixed use and residential sites. This is an exciting opportunity to work on key sites across Cambridgeshire and expand your development skillset and knowledge.

Your new role
As the new Estates Manager you will be working alongside the Head of Estates, to manage the operations and facilities of your strategic development sites, you will be focused on the Cambridgeshire sites. You will provide early input to the estate management strategy and you will manage property assets and infrastructure, including operating agreements, leases, renewals, disposals and fit-out works. You will assist in the management of relevant stakeholders including third party landowners and Joint Venture partners.

In addition you will manage security, landscape, cleaning and maintenance teams, maintain appropriate record keeping for all property, ensure adequate insurance is in place across estate and buildings, build working relationships with existing and new suppliers, managing tender process, instructing works to agreed budgets and ensuring that the estate and operations are energy efficient and environmentally sustainable.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will have a positive 'can do' attitude with ability to analyse and evaluate complicated issues and provide appropriate solutions in response, you'll have strong IT Skills in Microsoft Office with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to self-manage effectively.

It would be ideal if you have experience with property management or agency, strategic planning and project management, exposure to sustainability planning and implementation or knowledge of management and maintenance of buildings.
