Hays are delighted to be working with an award-winning family owned and run practice of chartered surveyors based in Cromer. Having been established for nearly 50 years this consultancy is thriving and looking to expand their team. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and established team with access to fantastic portfolios of work, you will also be working in a lovely seaside location!
Your new role
As the new building surveyor you will be working with three other surveyors, you will have access to extensive residential work as well as commercial, with a mix of private clients, charities, healthcare, education and local authorities. This consultancy offer the full spectrum of traditional building surveying, such as Party Wall Matters, Dilapidation surveys and Defect Analysis, as well as architectural design, contract administration, project management and heritage works. CAD Design will also play a vital part in your day to day role.
The majority of work is based in Norfolk, however, they do have clients based across East Anglia and are part of a property consortium that deliver projects nationally.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will be passionate about the Building Surveyor industry and local to Norfolk. You will hold a RICS accredited degree, and ideally you will be working on your APC, or recently qualified. In addition, strong CAD experience/skills will be required.
