TEMP, FULL-TIME ROLE £16.62 PER HOUR - HYBRID BASED IN BIRMINGHAM - DRIVING ESSENTIAL

Your new company

You will be working with Birmingham City Council, as part of the Council's City Housing directorate, and you will be joining one of the largest teams within the Council, who manage the largest housing stock in Europe.

Your new role

Your new role will be an Exempt Accommodation Officer, where it is essential that you are excellent communicators both in writing and in person in order to respond to complaints from Elected Members and Citizens of Birmingham. The nature of this role is to carry out inspections of houses within the exempt accommodation status. This role is a hybrid role, as some office attendance is required. The role is a temp, full time role with the potential for extension.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates for the Exempt Accommodation Officer role who possess property standard inspection experience of properties in multiple occupation. Experience within HHSRS is desired, but it is not a required as training will be provided. You will need knowledge and/or experience of the support worker role and possess strong negotiation and people skills to bring about change. Problem solving skills are a key requirement together with experience of achieving positive outcomes. You must be able to drive and have a car accessible to you as you will be attending visits/inspections - car mileage expenses are payable for visits within the Birmingham City Council Local Authority area.
