Building Control Surveyor

Based on the South Coast, our client deal with an interesting and varied caseload, which covers new build and refurbishment projects in a wide variety of fields including domestic, commercial and industrial projects.

Your new role

They are currently seeking a competent Building Control Surveyor to join their busy team to work on all types of major and minor projects from initial enquiry to completion. The role is varied and will include:

• Applying Building Regulations, associated legislation and other public safety legislation.
• Plan Checking
• Carrying out site inspections and making records of work in progress.
• Meeting and liaising with a range of customers including Consultants and the Public.
• Providing technical guidance and advice on a number of issues.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally you should have a degree in Building Surveying and be a member of, or working towards membership of the RICS, MABE or other equivalent qualification with a sound knowledge of Building Control legislation.

Also advantageous are excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a customer orientated approach and the ability to work on your own initiative.
