Senior Drainage Engineer needed in Birmingham or Bristol

The infrastructure team manages many multidisciplinary projects, with design work spanning scoping and feasibility, technical support for planning and detailed design of infrastructure for implementation, and support during construction.

We are looking for someone to work on rail projects supporting control period 7 (CP7) 2024 - 2029. The drainage team support rail design teams throughout the UK and Ireland on a range of new schemes and refurbishment, replacement and remedial of existing systems. This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably experienced drainage engineer to work on a range of interesting and challenging projects.

Job Responsibilities

* Work within a team to undertake reviews/studies, the production of desk-based assessments, catchment studies and conceptual designs.
* Prepare preliminary and detailed design calculations, engineering design drawings, specifications and reports. * Liaison with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to deliver the necessary approvals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements

* Knowledge and experience of some/all of: MicroDrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD software, MicroStation, and ProjectWise, or similar document management systems.
* Relevant experience, ideally with a consultant, in drainage design for infrastructure schemes.
* Experience in working within the rail environment.
* Proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects.

Preferred Qualifications

* Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience
* Master's degree in CE and working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
