Building Services Manager | Permanent | FM within an Educational Establishment | Starting from £44k

Your New Company

A Building Services Manager job opportunity has arisen within an successful University within the West Midlands.

You will be reporting into the Estates Manager.

You will be welcomed into a business that supports students from across the globe. This University is a diverse educational establishment where they promote health and wellbeing for all their staff and students.

Your New Role

Your main purpose of the role is to support and act on the behalf of the Estates and Facilities Team as the Key Account Building Manager and to be responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of all the buildings within your remit.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing all hard and soft services that are being delivered on site. You will be managing contracts and contractors ensuring that all KPI's/SLA's are being met. You will be managing holidays and sickness absences in line with HR and compliance. You will be auditing supplier deliveries and managing budgets.

You will be required to participate in the out-of-hours service rota.

What You'll Need to Succeed

You will need to have previous contracts management experience.

You will need to have customer service experience as this will be a customer facing job. You will need to have passed Maths and English at GCSE/GCE Level. You will need to have a clean full drivers licence. You will need to be IT literate. You will need to have excellent communication and presentation skills. You will need to have experience of working successfully in a target driven environment.

IOSH qualification is desired but not essential.

You may be expected to undertake emergency first aid training.
