Your new role
As part of your new role you will be working and reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability where you will be ensuring the projects and contracts consistently deliver the company's sustainability strategy to do this you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring sustainable solutions are integrated during preconstruction phases
- Assist with reviewing and managing our approach to delivering certifiable sustainable assessment methodologies such as BREEAM,
- Winning bids and tenders for contracts
- Building relationships with major stakeholders
- Researching and translating industry developments, policies and regulations relating to sustainability, buildings, design and construction practices and ensuring the team maintains these through reporting and training
- Understanding and communicating a range of sustainability issues relating to buildings and the built environment more generally
What you'll need to succeed
The Ideal Candidate needs to be someone with sustainability experience either in construction or consultancy looking to make the next step up in their career and would need to be able to :
- Analyse and interpret sustainability requirements and being able to present this to the teamUnderstand relevant industry standards and regulations relating to the built environment including how the sustainability agenda affects how things are designed, built and operated
- Preferably 2-3 years of management experience in the industry
- Be able to have an in-depth understanding of technical information in a way that engages and
- Professional membership of a relevant environmental / engineering institute
- Be adept in Microsoft Office
- Construction / Consultancy industry experience
