Head of Capital Works, university Estates, up to £65K plus benefits, excellent pension, hybrid working

This role sits within the senior leadership team of a leading and award-winning Midlands university. Your new role

This role will support the development, operation and strategic leadership of the University's Capital Development plan. You will lead the delivery and development of the Estates and Facilities Directorate's Capital Development team working closely with other teams in the wider Estates community. You will lead of the rationalisation of the estate, developing strategy from a construction and project management perspective. You will plan the resource and process for effective delivery ensuring timeframe and budgets are met whilst balancing quality and compliance.

What you will need

You will need to be a strategic planner, strong leader, enabler and influencer. You will have a degree or higher in Construction, Engineering or the build environment. You will be a member of relevant bodies such as MCIOB, MICE, MCABE or MCIBSE. You will have outstanding practice and track record of delivering in project management, construction procurement, cost management and continuous improvement. Your knowledge of relevant legislative requirements and compliance will be exemplary.
