As the University of East London approaches its 125th anniversary, the University is embarking on a c.£300 million masterplan.  We are seeking to make the appointment of Assistant Project Manager to join its Estates Development Team.

Working in the Estates Development & Projects team, the Assistant Project Manager will support Project Managers and Programme Managers in project delivery by providing administrative and technical assistance.  Key duties will include working closely with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to lead on the delivery of construction projects from delivery through to handover, managing project cost spread sheets, managing and reporting project data, assisting with site inspections, programming works and safety management. 

With a degree preferably in a built environment related discipline, you will have proven organisational skills, excellent IT skills and a clear desire to develop a career as a Project Manager in the construction and property industry.  Previous experience of having worked on refurbishment and/or new build construction projects would be advantageous, and it is anticipated that you will be an ambitious looking to develop towards Lead Project Manager level.
