Landlord and Tenant Surveyor job in London paying £65000 per annum
Your new company
My client is the largest small business landlord in the UK, providing services to thousands of entrepreneurs who contribute significantly to the UK economy. They are pleased to be the landlord to a diverse, ardent group of small business owners, entrepreneurs, and community organisations throughout England and Wales with a property portfolio of about 5,200 railway arches, business estates, former station buildings, and other properties.
Your new role
Primarily dealing with lease renewal and rent reviews within a part of the client's portfolio of c5,200 assets. All transactions require end to end management including meetings with tenants, management of agents, seeking board approval, instructing solicitors, associated business administration. Work within a team to deliver the annual targets of the team and wider business objectives. Assist with the collection of tenant debt related to the completion of lease renewals and rent reviews. Manage tenant applications for assignment, wayleave, subletting etc. Assist in reporting and business budgeting as required.
What you'll need to succeed
We need a surveyor with practical experience in the main job function, as well as experience in property asset management gained in either a consultancy or client-side environment. Furthermore, you'll need experience working with external consultants such as lawyers and be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly gain respect from colleagues and clients. Strong presentation and communication skills, high levels of numeracy and IT literacy, enthusiasm and proactiveness, good analytical skills with attention to detail, and willingness to travel to carry out the responsibilities of the role are required.
