Your new role
They are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team where you will be responsible for commercial control of various main contract fit outs, the tendering and appointment process, materials procurement, cost control and final accounts. Working closely with the Estimating, Purchasing and Contracts Departments.

Main Duties:

• Attending initial site surveys/scope of works meetings at tender stage
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
• Tender adjudication and procurement of subcontractors
• Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Commercial management of subcontractors
• Prepare and present project cost reports
• Valuing completed work as terms agreed and arranging invoicing with the accounts department
• Identify and track additional costs and variations not included in the original estimate for onward approval and charge to the customer'
• Preparing detailed cost progress reports
• Negotiation of final accounts

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the fitout sector
