Quantity Surveyor - High Profile Project Edinburgh

Leading Developer seeks Project QS to work on high profile project in Central Edinburgh Location.

Your new company
Our client are a leading developer who specialise in the construction of build to rent and student accommodation developments across the UK. They have just commenced a large development in a fantastic location in Edinburgh and are seeking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to their site based team. This location is right in the middle of the hustle and bustle in one of Edinburgh's best suburbs and will offer a really attractive project location to the right candidate.

Your new role
As Project Quantity Surveyor this role is based onsite and will be reporting directly to the Contracts Director with a dotted line into a regional commercial lead. You will be embedded in the site team and will be responsible for the day to day commercial administration of a large building project. From managing the procurement process with your subcontractors to assisting the design team in budgeting for changes you will be a key part of the successful completion of a high profile project in Edinburgh.

Based onsite your construction knowledge will develop dramatically and you will fully develop your experience in the construction of complex commercial buildings.


What you'll need to succeed
Our client are seeking a tertiary qualified quantity surveyor seeking to take their experience onto a bigger and more complex project. You will ideally have been exposed to the full commercial lifecycle of a busy project and have an understanding of the commercial challenges of large new build and refurbishment projects. You see yourself as a building Quantity Surveyor and perhaps would like to take your career down the road towards project management where your well rounded construction knowledge and commercial expertise will be fully deployed.
