A Groundworks and Civils Sub-Contractor are looking for a remotely based Estimator they typically work with a range of sectors from Education, Commercial and Residential. They work regularly with Tier 1 contractors supporting Groundworks on their projects.
Your new role
As an Estimator, you will be part regularly meet and liaise with the directorship team and be responsible for the estimating for the company.
You will be liaising with clients to ensure that the correct elements of the projects are priced against the design. You will be involved with confirming the price of materials, equipment and labour costs and as such obtaining / negotiating quotes from sub contractors and suppliers. A key part of the role is preparing and submitting quotations for work.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have over 8 years' experience of estimating on construction projects from the ground up, Civils and Groundworks experience is essential as you will be coming into a leadership role and hitting the ground running.
You will be able to work well on your own initiative as well as in a team and be able to regularly report accurate estimations to the directors. You will be motivated and commercially aware and able to make judgements relating to cost and budget information. You will also have a full UK driving license.
