Hays recruitment is working for a national maintenance provider to provide the university with a Building Maintenance Assistant at a prestigious University.
The job vacancy is due to an internal promotion.

Your new role

Your new role is an ongoing full-time temporary role for at least 3 months, with opportunities for progression.
It consists of about 40 hours per week.
Your role includes maintenance tasks with an electrical focus at various locations, including dorms, offices, university lecture halls and general areas.

Your daily duties will include:

• Overseeing the building maintenance, such as fixing broken locks, cupboards, taps, doors, tiles etc.
• Replacing sockets
• Checking on the circuits and humidifier controls
• Fixing the air conditioning units.
• Performing fire tests and checking up on the fire alarms
• Maintaining and fixing machinery on campus

What you will need to succeed

To be successful you will require an electrical certification, which is the 18th edition and will be considered with a 17th edition certificate with training provided to go up a level.

To be successful at the job you need to have an all-rounded maintenance and electrical experience.
