You will be working for an East Lancashire based NHS Trust. They provide effective and personal care for around 750,000 per year. They offer primary care to over 530,000 patients in the local community and have 8,000 employees in the trust to ensure the needs of end users are met.

Your new role

In the role of Admin Clerk, you will play a key role in providing efficient and effective front of house services to patients. You will be required to organise and confirm appointments as well as ensuring patient records are up to date. As a Admin clerk you will also be dealing with in and out bound calls dealing with patients who require referrals, appointments, transferring to specific people in the hospital. You will be required to organise appointments in accordance with clinicians and GP's diaries and ensure both parties are allocated the correct time and duration.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in the role of Admin Clerk, you will need GCSE level qualifications or relevant experience in a similar role. You will need to portray a sense of confidentiality and excellent communication skills, in hand with this you must have accurate written and verbal communication skills. As an Admin Clerk, for most of the time you will be interacting with patients and colleagues, so a professional telephone manner and positive attitude is a must.
