Assistant Buyer / Buyer

A buyer job in Lancashire paying £40k + excellent package for a fit out contractor.

Your new company
You will join an established contractor who specialise in fast track refurbishment and fit out schemes across the UK. They work across a variety of sectors including commercial, retail & leisure. They have a strong order book therefore they are making the appointment of a buyer to work alongside their commercial team. They are a cash rich business who organically grow year on year, many of their staff have been with the business for many years.

Your new role
The business is open to considering a buyer or assistant buyer to join their procurement team. As a buyer for this business, you will be responsible for ensuring all materials are delivered to sites in line with current build programmes, specification and are purchased at competitive prices in line with the company's group & regional deals where applicable. You will monitor all material order values, ensure tender processes are adhered to for all new sites and negotiate agreements with suppliers. You will produce reports comparing tender prices obtained, and an analysis of how they compare to the viability, and you will report to the senior buyer.

What you'll need to succeed
You will currently be working as a buyer preferably within a construction environment. They are open to level of experience due to market demand. The business has an extremely low staff turnover therefore they are looking to appoint someone who is looking for a career move and long-term opportunity. A fit out / refurbishment background would be desirable however person fit is very important for this company and team.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a competitive salary dependant on experience ranging from £25,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits. You will receive support from the company's directors and join a well-established team with a strong pipeline of work. This is an excellent time to join the business as they continue to grow.
