Rent officer job available in Greater Manchester - £15.85 - £17.44 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The aim of the role is to maximise income and achieve targets around rent collection & arrears recovery in a way that supports tenants to sustain their tenancies and take responsibility for managing and maintaining their rent account.
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- Hybrid working 2-3 days per week in the office/patch
- Temporary contract until March 2023
To be successful in applying for this role you will need to have experience of managing a range of housing related debt, ideally on a patch basis (or similar). You will need to have an understanding of balancing the need of the customer and that of the Housing Association, along with a good understanding of the rent collection process.
You will need to have a knowledge of welfare benefits and experience of providing general advice to tenants as part of arrears prevention work and demonstrable knowledge of current Housing Policy and its impact on social housing generally but particularly in relation to income management.
If you are customer focused with excellent communication skills, I.T. literate with the ability to assist in the development of new systems and a knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office, we would like to hear from you.
