Project Manager

The University of Leicester is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of the University’s capital investment programme.

The University of Leicester is a global player in education and research, adapting to changing landscapes and seizing opportunities to shape the future. Our estate extends to a total site area of 95 hectares, comprising a non-residential estate of 110 buildings covering around 200,000m2 and a residential estate of 191 properties. The majority of the academic facilities are located to the south of Leicester city centre with a main campus supplemented by a number of satellite properties nearby.

As a Project Manager within Estates and Campus Services, you will provide high quality client focused project management skills to a range of capital projects, ensuring schemes are briefed, designed, developed, delivered and governed within strict budgetary and programme constraints, fully satisfying University requirements.

We are seeking candidates that have gained proven experience of managing complex refurbishment projects in a client side or client’s consultant role, with a track record gained on projects up to £5m in value. Strong technical and commercial skills honed in the construction and property industry are essential as it is expected that candidates will be adept at leading and managing all stages of the project lifecycle from brief development and design through to procurement and construction delivery.

The University of Leicester offers a competitive salary and pension scheme, generous leave entitlement and a commitment to your continuing professional development.
