Currently with 14 technical staff in the office and looking to grow, your new company is looking to expand its residential focus into the the industrial and commercial sectors, where it will continue to punch above it weight.

Your new role
As a structural engineer in your new role, you will be tasked with independently running your own structural projects through the full project life cycle. Due to the nature of your new company, projects are fast-paced and "plate-spinning" during a heavy workload is required which creates an exciting and interactive atmosphere in office.

Over time the responsibility to grow a team and bring in technicians and gradates will develop. There is also a remit at your new company to develop a commercial and industrial presence in the Northwest, which you could be front and centre of. Described as "job-watching" not "clock-watching" the emphasis in your role will always be on output, with the flexibility to succeed firmly embedded in the company culture.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need AutoCAD and Tekla Tedds experience, with Masterseries a bonus. A minimum of 5 years' industry experience and a strong residential background is also essential. As mentioned, it is also vital to have the capacity to run a number of residential projects side by side, and integrate well within the team.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a highly competitive salary in line with your previous experience. This salary will be reviewed every 12 months and adjusted by 5-10% based on performance, with exceptional staff receiving more. Furthermore, there is a discretionary bonus every Christmas with all staff receiving between £500 and £4,000. To begin with there will be an emphasis of working in the office, however as time goes on this will become more flexible
