Assistant QS - Bromley area - Permanent - Private Residential projects, Main Contractor, Competitive

Your new company
A Bromley based main contractor working across London and the southeast on a mixture of Private and HA orientated Residential Schemes now seek a senior QS to joint the team. With projects ranging from £5 - 15 million in value they are typically low rise high end apartments of between 20 - 50 units. With over 30 years history and an extremely stable senior team they have been extremely successful through the lockdown period and are now about to start 3 new schemes across Kent and London. New projects include a 15 Mill mixed use scheme in Tonbridge, a 40 unit apartment scheme near Dartford and a larger RC frame development in Lewisham. Due to the expanded workload an assistant QS is sought to join the existing commercial team, the role is a permanent long term opportunity and available immediately

Your new role
As Assistant QS you will be working closely with a senior QS overseeing the commercial aspects of 1 Main scheme offering support on a second if feasible. You will be involved from pre-construction through to handover . You will be responsible to some extent for Procurement, Cost reporting, Agreeing variations, monthly payments, Site visits for measuring of work and generally ensuring the commercial health of the contract.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a graduate or assistant QS with some experience in a similar role, Experience within a develop or housebuilding contractor is desirable. You will be it literate and be comfortable working in the SE London area on a permanent basis. You will be looking to further your career as a QS and looking for along term role.
