Your new company
This client is a well established Housing Association based in West Kent. They manage over 8000 homes across the Kent and South East region and build around 300 new homes a year.

This role is within the property team, you will sit within in a team of 20+ people and work with well established members of the team. I have made numerous placements with this organisation for similar roles and always had great feedback from the candidates about the way they treat their staff.

Your new role
You'll be a key member of the property team, ensuring works to void properties meet company standards and are completed to a good quality and to the correct standard.

  • You will carry out pre-void inspections, identifying potential works at void stage and ensuring the resident is aware of their responsibilities.
  • You will carry out void inspections to schedule of the works required to bring the property up to the lettable standard.
  • You will post inspect void works to ensure the contractor has carried out the work to the required standard.
  • You will identify work that can be carried out post occupation and ensure these are completed within target timescales.
  • You'll play a key role in ensuring that the contractor achieves the target timescales for void turnaround and good value for money is achieved.
  • You will carry out health and safety inspections to ensure contractors comply with safe working practices and need to be familiar with CDM Regulations.


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be highly organised with excellent communication skills and to provide customers with clear, accurate and timely information, consider their individual needs and ensure the receive a positive experience. Excellent knowledge of construction is essential, including building defects and regulations preferably to degree level together with sound knowledge of the CDM Regulations and the ability to analyse technical information.

What you'll get in return
This role is paying a salary of up to £38,500 per annum + benefits including discounted medical treatments, generous leave, including paid time off to volunteer and an annual grant to support your wellbeing.
