UK Construction Leader seeks Development Surveyor to join their residential business in Scotland.
Your new company
Our client are a UK construction institution with a wide variety of interests across the industry covering building , infrastructure and residential development. Their Scottish residential business has exciting growth plans in place and to sustain and drive this growth they are seeking to appoint a Development Surveyor/Estimator to their commercial team.
Your new role
As Development Surveyor you will be responsible for the front end appraisal and development process of the business and thus play a strategically critical role to the success of the business over the next 5 years.Your fingerprints will be across all key areas of the project front end from preparing appraisals for potential land investments to compiling cost plans and budgets for developments in advance of construction.
This will involve getting across all our clients key commercial processes and will situate you in a pivotal role within a large company with ambitious plans to grown.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will suit a candidate with significant front end experience of residential developments and have excellent commercial expertise backed up by a degree in Quantity Surveying. You may have worked in a similar role for a large developer previously or have had exposure to this side of residential development as part of your role in quantity surveying previously.
It is an opportunity for the right candidate to step away from the hurly burly of site work to focus more on the strategic elements of residential development and apply your commercial expertise to a different phase of high end residential projects. You will build on an already well developed set of commercial expertise and deploy your knowledge of the residential construction market in a different way.
