Tier 1 Contractor seeks Experienced Site Manager for long term contract in Edinburgh

Our client are a national tier 1 contractor with a strong presence across core building sectors of the construction industry. They are currently seeking an experienced construction site manager to join their team on a busy and critical project in Edinburgh City Centre.


Your new role
This role is a contract position on building project which has a duration of up to 8 months. Reporting to an experienced project manager you will be responsible for planning and managing all construction works on a small but complex project for a large Edinburgh institution. This could be classed as refurbishment and it includes significant M&E upgrade work so experience with this type of project would be advantageous. You will be responsible for ensuring all of the works are completed in a safe and methodical manner whilst communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be from a trade background with a deep understanding of building refurbishment and fitout. You must have an in date black card, smsts and first aid course complete and have a good understanding of the quality and safety expectations present on a tier 1 project.
