Your new company
I am working alongside the director of an established main contractor who are based within Lancashire. They work throughout the North West on new build, refurb, fit out and conversion schemes up to £20m. They work within the private and public sector delivering high quality projects and have built excellent relationships and hold a strong client base. They have an excellent staff retention rate and have a strong order book. They have approached me to recruit a bid writer to join their business. This is an important role within their company, and they are keen to find the right experience to fulfil this role.

Your new role
You will report to one of the company directors managing the bid process. You will confirm the requirements of individual bids and work to deadlines, attend meetings and propose deliverable programmes. You will author, edit and proof-read bid submission documents for PQQs, tender bids and frameworks bids. You will research the client and sector and put together presentations. The role will be 80% bid writing and 20% social media / social value. They would consider an experienced bid writer who can hit the ground running OR they would also consider a more junior applicant who requires further training and development. They are keen for the right person to join the team therefore personality fit is important to them.

What you'll need to succeed
You will currently be working with a bid environment preferably for a construction business. You will be keen to continue developing and you will be looking for a long-term career move. You will manage your own time and won't have any direct reports however as the role expands this could allow future team members to join the business.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 (negotiable for the right experience / career background) + additional benefits package including 24 days holiday. You will have full support from the Directors and as the business continues to grow, your role will too. You will work on high end projects across the North West region and work for a stable contractor.
