Your new role

To manage statutory inspections and remedial works for a Schools PFI alongside providing additional support to the Hard Services Manager as required.

In addition to their core remit, this role will also include:

▪ The management and co-ordination of all property related statutory maintenance requirements including preparation and remedial works required
▪ Direct communication and liaison with the user of the premises to plan in works
▪ The management and the supervision of suppliers in support of the statutory requirements
▪ The operation and management of a database for the control of the statutory requirements as well as the update of the CAFM system.
▪ Implement all relevant Health & Safety legislation and liaise with the Health and Safety Advisers (Compliance).
▪ Procure and manage works in accordance with the specified contract terms and conditions
▪ Provide additional duties to the Civil's Team as required including the delivery of Preventative and Reactive Maintenance and projects as defined in the Maintenance Plan
▪ Manage and report on financial aspects, including budget management, and advise on valuations and final accounts
▪ Undertake responsibility for using the SSoW for the Authority to Work Process and Issue Permits to Work as required (subject to training and competency).
▪ Review and gather evidence in response to any regional 3rd party audits and supply to the regional manager
▪ Report trends and areas of concern to the Hard Service Manager and Regional Facilities Managers manager
▪ Works closely with the Regional team to put solutions in place to ensure all sites are compliant.
▪ Drawing upon their knowledge and previous experience to ensure statutory compliance and make recommendations for improvements

What you'll need to succeed

• A full understanding of the statutory and maintenance requirements.
• IT skills for the inputting of information into Google Workspace and the CAFM system for reports etc
• A full understanding of the Health and Safety requirements with regards to L8 (ACOP), LOLER, PUWER and Pressure Systems Regulations.
• Knowledge of Pre-Planned Maintenance Systems - Preventative, Condition based, Reactive etc
• Professional qualification in Property related discipline
• Experience in the delivery of both sub-contracted and self-delivered property services
• A valid driving licence
• IOSH Managing Safely
