Your new role

As a Project Engineer in Derby or York and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work. Act as the engineering interface on projects across engineering and project management disciplines.

Working closely with the Project Managers, responsible for driving the Engineering deliverables to completion and meeting the Product/Project requirement specifications


What you'll need to succeed


The key is the candidate, needs to have experience in one or more of the following

  • Data Acquisition of Fixed Infrastructure Assets
  • Remote condition monitoring
  • Knowledge of signalling equipment to a basic level (BS1 and BS2 or similar)

The following qualities/experience are essential:
  • Relevant engineering and technology background
  • Good knowledge of engineering processes and methodology
  • Good appreciation for all or some of the following:
    • Software Engineering
    • Electronic Engineering
    • Data Science
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience of one or more:
    • Data Acquisition of Fixed Infrastructure Assets
    • Remote condition monitoring
    • Knowledge of signalling equipment to a basic level (BS1 and BS2 or similar)
  • Makes the right decisions for OBB and the product(s)
  • High levels of energy, passion and a 'can do attitude'
  • Good communicator at all levels
  • Good at writing technical documentation
  • Able to build solid relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
