Quantity Surveyor

Permanent Quantity Surveyor job, Derbyshire, Power Transmission and Distribution projects. Tier 1 contractor

Your new company
You will be working for a multinational tier 1 main contractor that have offices across the UK. The role will be working within the Power Transmission and Distribution division based out of the Derbyshire office. The role will involve collating costs in relation to infrastructure projects and delivering varied commercial duties including procurement and managing supply chain.

Your new role
The role will be varied and diverse however it will focus on Power Transmission and Distribution. You will be working with key Project Management and have responsibility for profitability of the project, and develop an appropriate commercial strategy for the project to ensure delivery of required margins. You will help to produce the contract cost reporting system ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date and tracked. You will be able to provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value and monitoring cash flow. You will also need to manage the subcontract tender process, including the selection of sub-contractors and provision of all relevant contract documentation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a Bsc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent level of qualification. You will also have Quantity Surveying experience in the relevant sectors working on large scale projects. You will have the ability to collate costs and budgets and demonstrate commercial control. You will need to be based within a commutable distance to Derby and have a strong interest in infrastructure projects.
