M&E Manager - Social Housing

M&E Manager - Social Housing - Up to 40 hours per week - Up to £275 per day - Long-term contract

Hays is working with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who require an M&E Manager to join the team either on a contract or temp to perm basis.

Your new role
You will be responsible for managing a team of 26 staff including Supervisors, Surveyors, Schedulers & Engineers covering Gas & Electrical servicing, repairs & installation. The Gas servicing, repairs & installs are carried out by a DLO while the Electrical EICR's, EPC's etc are outsourced to an Electrical contractor and contractually managed in-house. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality delivery of works that are statutorily and regulatory compliant. You will exercise effective control by monitoring and reviewing mitigation of risk and contracts with regards to compliance, service, record keeping and financial/budget delivery. Management of M&E asset life and project management of the refurb/replacement equipment and plant.

What you'll need to succeed

• Hold Building Services qualifications (C&G/NVQ/ACS/HNC/HND)
• Experience with Renewables (Solar PV, Heat Pumps)
• Experience managing a large M&E team within a relevant setting to the role
• Proven track record in overseeing and managing the delivery of M&E work to a high standard and in line with legislative requirements.
• Ability to ensure that the service performs in line with requirements, H&S & statutory compliance, financial budgets etc
