Housing Solution & Support Caseworker Manager Job - Birmingham - Housing Solution & Support Service


Your new company

You will be working as a Housing Solution & Support Caseworker Manager for Birmingham City Council, at Lancaster Circus, which is located around the B4 area. Birmingham City Council holds the largest housing stock in Europe, as well as having one of the largest teams within the council.

Your new role

Your new role as a Housing Solution & Support Caseworker Manager is designed to help prevent homelessness and effectively support households to sustain their tenancies or secure alternative accommodation. The responsibility within the role is to manage, motivate, develop, and undertake ongoing supervision of direct reports, including regularly conduct case management supervision and case reviews using reflective supervision techniques. You will also have to take responsibility, appropriate to the post, for ensuring compliance with council policies and procedures aimed at promoting and safeguarding the welfare of vulnerable children and adults.

What you will need to succeed

To succeed in the role, you will need at least three years of managerial experience, and extensive knowledge on the housing service and legislation. The role is graded at £18.87 per hour - and is a full time, temporary position. You will need to have previously worked within the housing sector or have worked in something similar. You will have a proven track record of reviewing, developing, and improving services using effective data measures and creating performance cultures that deliver successful customer outcomes. Not only this, but you will be working as part of the Council's City Housing directorate, you will be joining one of the largest teams within the Council, who manage the largest housing stock in Europe. They are currently going through a period of transition, which may open permanent opportunities in the future. As stated, the role is graded at £18.98 per hour and you get a holiday entitlement of 28 days.
