Permanent Trainee / Assistant Contracts Manager job - Derby - Main Contractor Multi Sector Projects
Your new company
You will be working for an established regional Main Contractor who are based in Derby. Having been in the construction industry for over 40 years the company have an excellent range of existing clients and links to both the public and private sector. They have an excellent track record of onboarding junior operational staff and giving them the chance to learn and develop in a supportive environment.
Your new role
You will be working alongside experienced Contracts Managers as they look to help develop your skill set in the Construction industry. You will be responsible for liaising with Site Management and Operatives in order to ensure that the projects are running to plan. The position will require you to communicate with key stakeholders and suppliers. You will undertake quality checks and client review meetings with the support of senior members of staff.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be enrolled or recently completed a Degree / HND in a Construction Management discipline. You will have a full UK driving license. Alongside this you will have a strong desire to learn and succeed and be driven to meet operational targets. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Some practical experience of construction management would be advantageous but not essential.
