Your new role
Your new role as Regional Valuer will sit within the Real Estate department of the business, reporting to the Valuation Panel Manager. This role will be field-based, and you will provide regional coverage of the West Midlands region. The primary role of this position will be to provide a high standard, consistent real estate valuation consultancy service to the company's internal teams, having regard to agreed risk policy and within agreed service level standards. This will include undertaking property inspections and providing red book compliant valuation reports mainly for HMO's and multi-unit residential blocks on an investment basis.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised, MRICS qualified individual who is able to self-manage their time and workload and must have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a property valuer or as a general practitioner. A detailed knowledge of the specialist market in the West Midlands region is essential, and you will have demonstrable experience of preparing and signing off red book compliant valuations for secured lending on large HMO's and other specialist residential properties. In addition, an understanding of planning and licensing requirements for HMO's is essential. You must be able to understand the impacts of core legal, economic and physical attributes on both commercial and residential property values, and sustainability of demand. Specialist understanding of valuation methodology techniques and principles is also essential within this role. You must be educated to degree level or equivalent, and GCSE/GCE qualifications in Maths and English are essential. Due to the field-based nature of this role, a full, clean driving license is required.
