Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
A well established construction firm have a house building function based in North Northamptonshire. Projects from 20 - 300 units across the M1/A1 corridor.

Your new role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting to the Head of Commercial and alongside the commercial team to ensure all steps are followed correctly from procurement of sites to final account including:
Preparing tender enquiry packs, analysing/comparing tenders against build costs, assembling health and safety, method statements and risk assessment policies for new contractors, compiling draft subcontract orders, drafting extras sheet for the Commercial Manager, price agreed customer extras list with subcontractors.
Analysing and issuing charges and payments, reviewing invoices and applications, keeping payment sheets up to date.
Assisting the Senior QS with cost value reconciliations and associated duties.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in a commercial team for a house builder, qualified to HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related course, hold a valid CSCS card (or committing to obtain one), strong analytical skills, commitment to the companies policies and procedures and excellent written and verbal skills.
