Managing Quantity Surveyor Job, Birmingham. £40,000 - £70,000. Construction and property consultancy

Your new company

We are currently recruiting for a renowned, international construction and property consultancy for its Birmingham office. The company functions in both the private and public sector across a range of different countries with a vast array of end-clients.


Your new role

In your new role in the city of Birmingham, you will be developing and maintaining the company's stellar reputation, dealing with current clients, and developing new business opportunities, and you will be ensuring the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients. You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administration of project account with an awareness of the management of internal job costings in relation to the fee and services and resource requirements. You will also be responsible for writing, editing, and preparing clients reports as well as reviewing commercial situation and advising the client accordingly.


What you'll need to succeed

You will have an MRICS qualification or equivalent and will have experience preparing estimates for property related developments and preparing tender and contract documentation. You will have a sound understanding of construction risk and commercial management, a sound technical quantity surveying knowledge demonstrating established experience and ability. You will also be able to demonstrate effective and efficient post contract administration. The successful candidate will also have experience of successful interacting with clients, with excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare written reports. Furthermore, strong presentation skills are required as you will be advising representatives of client's organisations on key issues.
