Your new company

A worldwide construction and property management consultancy with multiple offices across the UK's major cities is currently seeking and an experienced building surveyor to join their Birmingham office. Presently, these services are managed regionally, and a direct and local surveying team will revolutionise the quality of the customer experience.

Your new role

In your new role you will be working across a range of projects across different sectors, managing and providing a range of building surveying and project management duties. Within this position, you will be responsible for establishment of a brand-new team, and you will be overseeing a Junior Building Surveyor who you will be mentoring. You will also assist with securing repeat business whilst also developing new business.

You will also be involved with the following: Project Management and Contract Administration duties for projects, condition and measured surveys, designing and implementing small - medium sized projects, and performing due diligence surveys. You will predominantly be working across refurbishment schemes and the delivery of a 'net-zero' scheme.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed within this role, you will need to be a RICS chartered or hold an equivalent qualification, with strong all-round surveying experience. You will have experience of both pre and post contract project management responsibilities and will be able deliver this service effectively to clients. You will be prepared to travel as and when is required. An experience of working with AutoCAD and Revit will be advantageous, and you will have awareness of BIM systems.
